After bonding over breakfast of Italian coffee and focaccia, morning jams sessions soon ensued, forming the base for sharing musical interest and an avenue for expression that both resonated with previous musical output while also forging a new sound. Capacity is the band’s debut album, evoking remnants of Sandpit, Fugazi and Drive Like Jehu, with underpinning vocal delivery reminiscent of Paul Dempsey. The result is raw, expressive, and self proclaimed honest music for a dishonest world. Given their respective involvement in noteworthy contributions to the local Brisbane scene, it is not surprising that this three piece combination continues that trend. While it is certainly not unexpected to hear the influences fueling the sound, the result is indeed remarkable. Meet, Apparitions.
